Paloma

Traditionally, a Paloma is made with tequila, grapefruit juice and either grapefruit flavored carbonated water (LaCroix is a good option) or plain carbonated water and some simple syrup.

We decided to go a different route. We used 3 Amigos Organic Blanco Tequila and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. We used this type of tequila for a few reasons – first its organic, second a bartender friend recommended using a blanco for this drink, and third we like the “farm to glass” motto of 3 Amigos. Now back to the recipe, we used 1/2 a cup of juice (that’s roughly how much you get when you squeeze one large grapefruit) and 1 1/2 oz. of tequila, add ice and stir. A sprig of thyme is a great finishing touch. Now just sit back and enjoy on your favorite patio!
